Feeding Envelopes and Tape Sheets
This procedure can be used when you already know the weight of a mail piece and you are not using the integrated weighing platform.
Feeding an envelope using the moistener (sealing the envelope)
Use this method when you want/need to seal the envelope (mail piece).
- Place envelope flap side down along the back wall of the moistener. Slide the envelope flap under the blue edge of the moistener unit.
- Slide the envelope towards the right until the system grasps it.
- The system prints and ejects the envelope.
Feeding an envelope without using the moistener (no sealing)
Use this method when you do not want/need to seal the envelope (mail piece).
- Place the envelope up against the back wall of the feed deck.
- Slide the envelope towards the right until the system grasps it.
- The system prints and ejects the envelope.
Feeding a tape sheet
Use self-adhesive type, dual tape sheets for use on mail pieces that are too thick or large to run through the meter. See Material Specifications for thickness requirements.
- Place the tape sheet up against the registration wall of the system and slide it to the right until the system grasps it. The system prints and ejects the tape sheet.
